!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Well, at least the guy is honest.. A Fulvia is a rare and nice car and one day they'll be worth a lot, but I figure putting it in good condition won't be cheap!

I'm not sure he has the same definition of 'lots of welding' as I do. I'd have to go and have a look of course, but it looks like he's bought it anticipating a quick fix for inspection and discovered a couple of areas of rot.

I need another project car like I need a hole in the head, but if I had a slot I'd be bidding already.

The honesty is welcome though. especially in classifieds. Much better than the usual 'good drive-able car, some welding required' you usually get.

Hmm... I could use a Fulvia, maybe swap in a rotary... TN doesn't require inspections, and it's past the 25 year rule, so...

A rotary Fulvia? Kickass :)

Personally, a Fulvia is one of the few cars that I'd consider keeping stock*. They're just perfectly designed with their interesting little narrow angle V4 engines.

*barring some light tuning of course.

It must have been fun to work at Lancia: Lots of entertainment in the workforce. How do I know?

Surrounded by comedians obviously. Who else would have used yet another ring nut sunk into a hub & hard to get to, torqued to some ridiculous Kgcm number, and to top it off, left hand thread. What? Left hand thread?

but it's on the right side of the car.... That's an aberration on normal protocol & a very nasty trick.

Yet another chance to make a new socket. 7 different ring nut sizes on this transaxle and not one interchanges with the Flaminia.

Hah :) maybe not so perfectly designed.

I wonder if this is an early instance of making the maintenance hard so people take it to the dealers...

I think it's just all very Lancia: you build the car the best you can, without a thought for whether it might be better to make a slight compromise somewhere for the sake of ease of maintenance.
